IKEA Restaurants are always a lovely place to be, and this being in its original country makes it extra special. Service was friendly, food is good, atmosphere with snow outside is great!!đđđđđ
Fun to visit an IKEA in its origin country. Clean and honestly kind of like any IKEA all over the world. The cafeteria food was really good though and the meatballs were fantastic. Better than the ones in Singapore for sure.
Very busy on an autumn holiday Thursday. Long queues for food but at least the food is ready when you get to the counter and you can pick what you like. The shrimp smörgÄs was good, but the bread was a bit dry.
We had the xmas buffet. There was different waiting line and checkout for it with instructions only in Swedish how to pay and dine. The pricing was misleading and it was required to have IKEA family mobile app for the price of 199, excluding drinks. There were lots of poorly managed little things such as no trays, items were not in the registery and could not be bought, even though it was not a rush hour.
The starters and cold cuts were abundant and the taste was very good. Unfortunately it was the same thing here and many dishes were out at first.
Main courses were very tasty. The gabbage and beetroot dishes were done differently than I expected. This may be difference between Swedish and Finnish kitchen, but I expected they would be in the form of casserole rather than boiled in vinegar (?). Some dishes were served in tin foil pans which were lightweight and it was kind of hard to scoop what you wanted.
For dessert there was rice porridge pudding, whipped cream, strawberry jello and soup and some cookies. The pudding could've been more velvety, but otherwise it was okay. I expected a bit more variety.
The personnel was very friendly and helpful and we had no problem communicating in English.
All in all it was nice but there too many little things gone wrong that lowered the overall experience.
Love IKEA stores and the way they present their products so you can see how they fit together.
Queue moved at glacial speed, on slower end of the glacial velocity range. Food is ok and not too expensive.
Amount of sugar in juices have apparently been reduced, which is good. Swedish standard for sweetness is a little too sweet for us Finns, as we are more into bitterness and suffering.
Portion sizes are fine for few hours of light strolling among things you never realized you needed, things that will end up owning you.
Food was good but lukewarm.
It's alright. The food was good while being cheap. I enjoyed the kycklingfile at the restaurant and the texture was good, although the chicken got a bit bland as I ate it. The drinks though could be improved upon, as the drink machine drinks tasted very lame and the flower water whatever tasted like it had been used to water flowers. Otherwise, it was a nice experience.
